    Question Permission issues again

    Hi,

I'm trying to get my Sugar on a nameCheap shared account running.
    Just talked to the support:

    Code:
By default the following permissions are set on our servers: for folders - 755, for files - 644, for pubic_html folder - 750.
    775 isn't allowed for folder:
    Code:
We have such security policy on all shared servers, and it can not be changed for one account, unfortunately.
Does that imply, that I can't use Sugar on their webspace?
    (Because:
» Required File System Permissions on Linux | Blog Archive | SugarCRM Knowledge Base )

    Thanks in advance
    Bye, Chris

I would think 755 should work. Have you tried installing it? What problems did you experience?

Unfortunately, if something does come up and the provider does not allow you to change permissions, you will have to look for another provider.

My problem is the navigation bar. I can't use it anymore and maybe it's due to some JS errors (according to IE - but that just points out an issue in index.php which I already uploaded again).

More interestingly, there is another person with the same issue now - maybe that could point out sth.
