Phone numbers like emails

Is there a way to make a phone number field that the user can add or drop phone numbers manually as is done with the email field where you just click the plus or remove button to add or drop the email address.

Sorry no!

E-mail addresses are kept in a seperate module and database table and can be many to many.
The phone numbers are static fields on the module/table and can only accommodate one per field per module.

if you really need more phone numbers consider adding custom fields in studio.

Or you could create a phone_numbers module and add a many to many relationship between your module and contacts (for instance). Then your module will appear as a subpanel and you could add as many phone numbers to every record as you want.

But why? Surely a couple of custom fields for 2-3 extra phone numbers should be enough.

Ok sounds good. Yeah it's not my decision but you would think saying Mobile phone, Home phone, Work Phone would be enough. I think I'll keep it as is as I don't think people understand that phone 1, phone 2, phone 3 is very helpful. Thanks for your help.
