.php Customizing

I've started with doing the php customizing on sugar, and first off, thanks everyone for all of the help for getting me started. My question is, is there a place where there is a guide to the customizations? I don't know the basic "commands" to manipulate the program. So when I have to do something, I have to request to learn how to do it, instead of looking it up and doing it myself. Is there a guide somewhere they gives the general commands, that I can read so I can manipulate the program to do what I want, without having to ask for help on how to do something I haven't encountered yet? This would be helpful for me and many other users who are new to this kind of programming.

I feel like I should have known this already, thank you so much for the link! I'll be reading up on this, so I don't have to keep bugging all your smarter guys for help all the time! And maybe I'll become one of you and be helping out the new guys!
