Hi,

I am self employed and wanting to run 5.2CE on my website just to keep track of contacts with my clients etc even when I'm not at my desk - ie low volume, 1 user and not even close to mission critical. currently I use a local version running on my desktop pc.

My ISP has a 30 second time out on php scripts - which isn't long enough for the install script which checks the environment to finish running.
I get Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in mywebsite.com\install\install_utils.php on line 1281

I have asked them to increase the time out and they won't unless I spend a lot of money on a dedicated server hosting package which is completely over the top.

Having done a couple of local installs in the past I am guessing that this won't be the only place where execution time is over 30 seconds during the install.

I am NOT good with php - is there an easy solution to this?
Is it feasible to upload a local install and patch in the different db connection? If so where?
Is there someone that would hack the one long environment check into 3 or for shorter, consecutive pages for me.
Are any of these free php hosting sites safe?
Should I just forget it?
