Please Help: Search function not working as expected after upgrade

The Module Search/Filter functionality shows problems, when the sugarcrm system is upgraded from 4.2.1b to 4.5.0d

Reproduce:
SugarSuite-4.2.1 new install
SugarSuite-Upgrade-4.2.1-to-4.2.1b
Sugar Suite Upgrade 4.2.1b to 4.5.0d

*Firefox*
basic search: not working
advanced search: OK (except for the clear button)
save view: not working

*IE*
basic search: not working
advanced search: not working
save view: not working

Can anyone please assist with this bug?
