Default POP3 account password altered by applying patch 4.5.0c?

After applying patch 4.5.0c, the "Check Mail" button in "My Inbox" returned nothing, although it worked OK before -well, I haven't checked it just before applying the patch, but I know it worked fine. I've tested the settings in the user preferences page and got an error message about incorrect login or password. The sugarcrm.log also said

09/29/06 09:06:54,394 [708] FATAL SugarCRM - 1: I-E ERROR: $ie->findOptimums() failed due to bad user credentials for user login: g...@...

Reentered the password and saved the settings, everything works fine now.
However, I've noticed that occasionally I have to click "Check Mail" twice before the new message is being displayed.
I'm using a POP3 account on an external (outsourced) server.

Has anybody else experienced a similar issue?

Same issue here. I had to set the password again.

We had the same problem already after upgrading to 4.5.0b

    Hi Pascal,

Thanks for confirming, I've filed bug 9310.
Have you also submitted one for the address in campaign?

    Cheers,
    George

    Hi George

Have you also submitted one for the address in campaign?
No, after upgrading to 4.5.0c the campaign from email address was still set.

We will try and reproduce this issue in the QA lab tomorrow. Stay tuned.

    Hi all

I confirm, I am also encountering the same problem after upgrading to 4.5c.

What is even stranger, I have 3 email accounts set up via inbound email on my system. Emails are coming normally on 1 account, and none are coming in on the 2 other accounts !!!

I also checked the "check inbound mailboxes" scheduler and it also seems to have been damaged in the upgrade to 4.5c. All scheduled inbound mail jobs had failed since my upgrade to 4.5c, after looking closer I found that dates were messed up and all. So I entered dates again, the jobs show as completed now, but neverthless emails are still not coming in (in 2 out of 3 accounts)...

    I got the exact problem

IMAP fails. Go in and change everything to POP3 and it works.

Does anyone have a quick fix for this?

We had a problem in patch C where the saved email account passwords aren't being read properly. If you reenter the password, it works properly.

Try resetting your monitored mailbox back to POP3 and be sure to reenter the password. Let me know if it works then.

Patch D coming out today fixes this issue where email passwords aren't being read properly.
