What do you need your Portal to link to in Sugar? If you need to sync Accounts/Contacts in Sugar with Users in Joomla, Hedron4 from SouthwestCRM might be a solution. It works with Community Builder and CBSubs so you are able to create custom fields in both and keep these fields in sync.

Need to mailmerge and produce labels in Microsoft Office Word? Use CRM2Office to connect MS Office to your SugarCRM system.
Thanks for your response but will it work with the community edition? Is it open source?
Mike
Well, what you´re looking for is probably a Joomla plugin that connects to SugarCE.
SugarCE offers everything you need via SOAP/REST to allow easy access from Joomla, Typo3 or any other CMS framework to retrieve and write user data from/into SugarCRM.
Here´s some examples that should get you started:

Hi madmat,
I do have a Joomla plugin for Sugar that uses SOAP however it requires the "Portal User API" and the "Portal User API Password". In my search of these forums it appears that the portal setup has been disabled in newer versions of SugarCE. Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks for the links; I will check them out.
Thanks for your time,
Mike
Thanks Simon, I will take a closer look.
Mike
