Hi,
I've hit some possible bugs in 5.1. I was wondering if anyone fancied trying to replicate them before I report them - just in case they have a suggestion for a work around as I'm strictly a PHP programmer - javascript gives me the willies! It seems to do the same thing in the latest version too.
BUG 1:
Go to an account and hit duplicate. Save the new record with a different city and country - just so it's easy to tell the two apart in list views (hitting duplicate is not neessary for this bug to rear it's head - we just need accounts with the same name).
Now, on the NEWEST account, use the quick create to add a new contact. Set the firstname and lastname but IMPORTANTLY, use the <TAB> key to navigate across the account field.
Now save it.
Go to contacts list view and set a filter to pick up this new contact (firstname and lastname). The contact will appear twice - hovering over the account name (if that field is on the list view) will show that there is a relationship between the contact and both of the accounts with the same name. Somehow, selecting the account field by using tab has matched both accounts records when setting up the relationship.
The same thing seems to happen if using the full form.
BUG2
So I played around with this for other fields types and noticed that if I create a task, quote etc against a contact - and tab across the contact field of that task/quote edit view, then the contact is removed.
Very odd....
Is it just me - or can others replicate it?
