Possible bug: Cancel button in opportunities quickcreate doesn't work correctly

I am running a fresh install of 5.0a CE. Here's the issue:

1) Clicked on the "Contacts" tab at the top.
2) Randomly clicked on an exsiting contact.
3) Hit the "Create" button in the Opportunities subpanel (which I renamed to Proposals, but that SHOULDN"T matter).
4) Hit the "Cancel" button.
5) Instead of removing the opportunity quickcreate form and returning to the contact, it totally refreshed my page and sent me to the Contacts listview.

Is this a bug on the opportunities quickcreate 'cancel' button?

Hi jspencer, we did a test of this, complete with the tab label change, and could not reproduce this.

Have you made any changes except installing a fresh 50a?

Anyone else have this issue?

Sorry for the trouble, I did a little more testing and it looks like it's a problem with my install and probably not a bug (at least not in the core code, but it could be one in the studio or something). Some more background:

I've got two other instances of 5.0a set up for testing that the button works OK (I did a folder/db copy and rename twice at different points in my setup for testing and only the most modified production system is having trouble). In addition to changing the module name I've also changed it in the 'parent_type_display' dropdown. I actually had some issues with that in the studio so I had to remove/readd the opportunities entry. It seems to work OK other than this issue. Perhaps that caused it (though I just tried remove/readd in my test instance and it still works). I think the only php files I've directly modified in the production install is my custom module and perhaps the modules/opportunities/vardef.php (but I undid my change, so don't know how that could still cause this...)

The other cancel buttons in quickcreates (notes, account, etc) seem to work fine in all installs, just the 'opportunities' is broken. Any idea what I could check to figure out why that button is redirecting instead of 'canceling' the quickcreate?

Hi jspencer, unless you really want it removed, I suggest we keep the tital the same. We don't change titles -- it appeared as a bug at first but, since, appears not to be.

Lots and lots of threads are similar.

Perhaps you missed it, but I had asked another question in my 5:50pm post.

Any idea what I could check to figure out why that button is redirecting instead of 'canceling' the quickcreate?

I mainly just need to know what files are responsible for creating the Opportunity quickcreate Cancel button as it seems to be broken in all other modules subpanels. Hopefully with a little digging I can fix it without spending hours pouring over the complicated multi-file code (man you guys normalized the hell out of your PHP!)
