Possible to downgrade/un-patch?

I have seen threads of posts in the forum regarding inbound problem with 4.2.1, I myself am one of the victims too, I thought patching with 4.2.1a will help but it didn't, I can't get SugarCRM to pick up emails from my server anymore, be it pop or imap, it just wont work.

It gives me shiver each time I did a patch/upgrade, while it solves one problem, it creates many others, I guess I should just be happy with what I have and not to simply patch the system.

Anyway, instead of hoping and waiting for solutions, I need to get things going and I'm thinking if it's possible for me to revert my installation back to when everything worked fine for me, that was 4.2.0d?

this is a depressing thought.I was going to put that patch in tonight but I don't know how. Now I see this and I'm not really comfortable with doing it. Please update so I can figure out if this is your problem or our problem.
