Default Is this possible: filter/search contacts based on account data?

Hi - I'm testing Sugar to hopefully implement in our company, so apologies if I'm stating the obvious.

I have imported accounts and related contacts. Then set up campaign to do postal mailshot to specific contacts.

The target list is to be identified as any contacts whose account is a specific industry. For example, find all the contacts linked to accounts in the Construction industry.

    I have searched the forums:
    http://www.sugarcrm.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44797
    http://www.sugarcrm.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27469
and they suggest it is NOT possible. Is this correct? I'm surprised if so, because this seems a basic funtion for a CRM to do.

I've tried PowerProspect, but when trying to install, it says not compatible with Sugar 5.20a

Thanks in advance for your help; I need to get this resolved so I can either carry on testing Sugar or just stop now and move onto another CRM (which I don't want - up to now it's going well).

I'm not sure if it works when creating target lists but my RelatedData mod will let you search on the Contacts tab based on the account industry or any other account field.

SugarCE do not provide too much help to do this.
But you have 2 alternatives (that I know)
    1) use zukerReports you can make a SQL based report and, as output of this report , create a TargetList. This means that you can create target list from any source than can be related in SQL.
    2) Put a new field on the contact named Industry and fill-it with the value of the related account. This is simple, but you have to put code (to do it update.safe you can use logicHooks in both contacts and accounts module to fill the data when any module changes) Then you can edit the template that shows the popup searchs in the code (in the module code, not the studio). This is the hard way but the result is easy to use for the user.
