    Default Possible to get Incoming Emails w/o CRON or Scheduler?

    Good day!

    I am stuck...and it's nobody's fault but my own. I decided to host our SugarCRM on our hosted web server (doteasy.com). The problem is they do not support (at least they claim) CRON jobs or any scheduler for that matter.

    Does anyone know why the "Check Mail" button doesn't actually check the mail? Does that button simply call the Sugar Scheduled Event?

    Does anyone know how I might be able to kick off the Scheduler with my "unique" hosting situation (i.e. no CRON or scheduling abilities directly on the server)?

    Specific Answer to Question:

    Manual Group Inbox Checking
    This item should be a significant interest to our admins who are in a hosted solution with no ability to setup a cron job, but still want to be able to take advantage of Inbound Email and its automation.

    In the Group Inbox screen, a new button is available above the Assignment toolbar: Check Mail! Click it and it will poll all of your Group Inbox accounts and import any new email.

    The Check Mail button within the Group Inbox is not retrieving my emails. The Test Settings works OK. What am I missing?

    I checked incoming email of personal email through "My Inbox"...that works fine. I will check my settings once again for the group email account.

    I'm still looking for answers...

    Here's what I have so far:

    1) I setup group email "user" account (info@impactwelding.com)
    2) Test settings = SUCCESS
    3) Go to Group Inbox...select Check Mail...nothing
    4) Go to My Inbox...where individual email account is setup...and it works fine.

    I don't know what I did...but it is working as expected.

    I believe I had the Setting "Possible Actions" set to "Bounce Handling"...when I changed to "Create [Any]" it seemed to work as expected. I'm trying to get everything setup for Mass Email Campaigns...that is why I had it set to "Bounce Handling."

    The bounce handling and monitoring of those inboes is a seperate scheduler job from checking for inbound email.
