Is it possible to have "Industry" property in the Leads

My job is to import data from Salesforce to SugarCRM. I have around 52,000 contacts and the contacts have "Industry column" When I import it to leads, I don't know where choose I put industry values in. There is a Industry field in Accounts but not in Leads.

Can somebody give me a suggestion.

Simply create a custom field in Leads called industry. That is done from the admin->studio menu.

My next question is that can we make this custom field searchable in the the Search function?
