Default Is it possible to sort by Time Zone?

Or will I have to sort by states?
If I sort by multiple states (for each time zone) can that be saved as a customized search criteria and then used again in the future? Thanks in advance -

what module are you trying to create the search for? you can certainly create a saved search on any of the fields available in the search panel.

I tried listing the states by postal abbreviation (which is how they are stored in my leads) to no avail. I tried searching with the PST states separated by spaces and alternatively separated by comma's. Neither way returned a result. Am I missing something?

Yes, you can currently sort results in the leads list view by billing state or alternate billing state. However, this will sort all the leads alphabetically by state, not anything to do with timezone.
I tried searching with the PST states separated by spaces and alternatively separated by comma's.
If you are trying to perform a search in the search panel and are trying to pull more than one state, then this will not work. Out of the box, you can only search for one item. You would need a reporting module to be able to search on more than one state in the same query, or customization to be able to search multiple within the search panel.

It sounds like a good solution to your problem would be to create a custom dropdown field called 'Timezone'. Then you could place this in the leads module (and any other module you need it to be) and you would easily be able to perform a search on just this one field, as well as sort on this field.

You might also want to look at some of the plugins on the forge or exchange. This might help you with what you are trying to do. I always recommend testing on a test instance first, and making a backup of your production environment before you implement.

Any solution for this? I would gladly pay for this ability.

I've created a custom field for timezone, but it really should be possible to have a plug-in do this automatically.
