Is it possible to upgrade v2.5.0c to latest version

I have v2.5.0c of SugarCRM installed. I want to upgrade it to the latest version, but this looks like it might be a lot more complicated than first thought.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

Im thinking I might have to dump the whole lot a start over - something im not that keen on.

Not directly you will have to upgrade each version to get to the latest. It is an ugly and long process but very worth the effort especially if you need the new features and enhanced interface.

The problem is some of the older upgrades are not posted on the site. The farthest back refrence ithat I see is 2.5.1. And it is a document on how to upgrade to 3.0. (Upgrade_Steps_2.5.1-3.0.rtf). you can find all the revisions from that point on in SugarForge http://www.sugarforge.org/frs/?group_id=6

I found these two files, Upgrade_Steps_2.5.0-2.5.1_open.txt and 2.5-2.5.1_open_db_upgrade.sql, from the corner of my hard drive. But you need the actual 2.5.1 application as well. Please pm me and I can email it to you.

Hello!

Does anyone know where one can get the older upgrade files? We're still running 2.51 here and would like to move to a newer version. The download pages only show upgrades from 3.5 on. Are we stuck?

Is there any way of dumping our current database out to flat files and then translating them into the newer versions? If so, we could simply install the latest version and then import our data.

Any suggestions or ideas would be most welcome. Thanks!

I just helped somebody with this. Attached are instructions to upgrade from 2.5.0 -> 2.5.1, 2.5.1 -> 3.0, and 3.0 -> 3.5.1, plus the files you'll need. After that point, you should be able to download all the needed materials from http://www.sugarforge.org/projects/sugarcrm/
