Primary email address mass update?

Campaigns will not email unless the email address for contact or target, is set as primary address.

The contacts detail view does not show (primary address) next to the email address, in most cases.

If I click "edit" and then "save", (primary address) appears next to the address. I rather hope that the campaign will now send email for contacts/targets marked thus.

2 questions.

1 where does this (primary address) comes from or held. I assume a table?
2 how can I update all contacts/targets so the email address is marked as primary?

Any ideas on how to do this?

The emails are saved into email_addresses table. There is a relationship table between all modules and emails: email_addresses_bean_rel.

I suppose there is no easy to accomplish way.

Thanks Andre,

The table email_addr_bean_rel has a field primary_address which the default for is 0, which means the address is primary. However, somehow, this does not get reflected in the GUI as (Primary) does not appear next to the email address. This is a puzzle to me and can't see around this. Hopefully the campaign will send emails if I can get this to happen..

Any further ideas?

This seems to work, Using SQL I changed the primary_address from 0 to 1 for all contact/targets and (Primary) now appears next to all email addresses. I will now try the campaign.
