problem with advanced search

i have a problem filtering my search by assigned user, when i search by assigned and filter by custom fields (EG) complete, none, etc
the search does not filter correctly it shows in multiple places
it will show the results of the completed under none, and the incomplete under none when it should move it out of none and put it in complete etc.

can you please specify in more detail what is going on? What version of sugar are you using? What module are you searching on? What exactly do you mean by 'it shows in multiple places'?
