Problem with email 4.2.1.b

Hi, I 'm having 2 big problems wirh the mail module in Sugar 4.2.1b

server is Win2K, with bitrock install

1)
when I send e-mails with attachments I got a blank screen and email is lost. dissapeared from sent emails, nor is associated with any accounts. BUT is sent! so, the client gets the e-mails but i've lost track of it. what can I do?
my upload directory in php.ini is default.


2) I cant make Sugar to check emails automaticaly, I must press the check button every time, no matter how many times mi scheduler runs my sugar.bay in my W2000 server.

tried changing the upload_tmp_dir in php.ini but still no luck sending atachments in email. screen gets blank and email is sent but no traces of it in sugar...
