    Unhappy Problem: Exports Disabled

    Hello everybody,

    I'm new to SugarCRM but so far no problems installing, configuring an working with it.

    But I'm not able to export a n y t h i n g!

    I always get an empty page with the text "Exports Disabled" when I try to export any data.

    There is nothing disabled under System Settings -> Export (Disable export: & Admin export only: are NOT checked) and there are no roles for users that disable exporting. The only thing I did here was to check these two boxes and uncheck them later. It doesn't mater how I'm logging in (user/admin) - even the admin can't export anything.

    Any ideas or help? Right now the system is unusable without the possibility to export any data.

    Configuration:

    - Sugar Open Source, Version 4.2.0d
    - Additional modules: German language, SugarCubed: Google Maps
    - Runs under Mac OS X Server 10.3.9 standard installation
    - HTTPS: connection
    - Web-Clients: Safari or Firefox, newest versions

    I'm also fairly new to Sugar, and am experiencing the same problem. This is also making Sugar fairly unuseable to me.

    Hi,

    I was able to solve the problem "by accident":

    I uninstalled all modules and installed them back again - curiously this solved the export-problem!

    just give it a try ... hope it helps!

    Are you sure your user account has privilege to export. Check the user roles

    I'm also seeing the same problem. I can not export in Leads, Opportunities or Contacts. I am the administrator and I've tried with the system boxes checked and unchecked and also be assigning myself a role specifically allowing export. Nothing seems to work.

    On a related note I'm starting to lose my confidence in this product the more I use it. It seems that outgoing emails also don't work and calander schedules are known to send out wrong dates. I know the developers are working on lots of stuff and new features but it would be nice if they just got the current features working properly.

    I think this might be a bug. Since I have upgraded to 4.2.1b I have not been able to export as admin. I also turned off admin only export and the popup window says "Exports Disabled". I was able to export before the upgrade. I filled a bug #8144

    The problem is still happening in 6.1.0 (which was an upgrade through the years all the way back 3.something).

    As the administrator I cannot export data, I get a blank screen with "export disabled".

    Is exporting disabled in the community edition?

    I'll try removing extra modules.

    **FOUND IT**

    Log in as ADMIN.

    Go to the ADMIN system by clicking at the link on the top-right Admin.

    GO TO **LOCALE**

    Down under EXPORT on the right-hand side you'll see the checkboxes:
    [_] DISABLE EXPORT [_] ADMIN ONLY

    I had [X] DISABLE EXPORT [_] ADMIN ONLY.

    I turned off DISABLE EXPORT and enabled ADMIN ONLY.

    Now as ADMIN I can export the data and it works great!
