Problem importing notes "created by"

I am importing notes into the Leads module and I have been successful with all fields except "created by". It always defaults to my user id. I also tried an import with no data in that field and set a default user but that also gave me the same result. I would appreciate any information that might resolve this problem.

I'm having the same problem trying to import and load accounts for multiple users. I try to use their id's in the import file and mine is what the records get loaded with. Will I have to log in as the individual users to import their accounts which aer assigned to their user-id's?
