    Default Problem with incoming emails

    hi every body,

    i'm actualy trying to configure emailing in SugarCRM CE 5.0.0f, in fact i can not receive my emails in the inbox. I have entered all my email parameters ... ssl test succeed. but when i click on check my emails, nothing is received, in same time no error message is displayed also ..

    In other hand - i think it is the same probem or a consequence of the first problem- When i send marketing email to a target list i have no bounced messages, no contacts created. I will be very greatful If some one cculd help me .. thank you and sorry for my bad english

    Do you use IMAP or POP3 inboxes?

    How many emails are on your server?
    Sugar tries to make header copies of them, perhaps you have a timing problem.

    i'm using pop3, and i have many (thousands) which are already in my box .. so sugar try to copy all of them and when ihe see that ther are to much he give up or what ? because as i said no error message and i get any message at all. And what timing are you talkiing about, how to fix it ?

    may be i should open a new email (gmail ) account and try with ??

    hi again,

    so I have created a new gmail account, i also switch to imap protool, i seem to work, at least the first part of problem.. i still not tryed with camain emails .. but i will tell you once i try it ..

    Hi i have the same problem, some users have a lot of email on pop3 server and they have problem downloading them in email client, i've done some test with a gmail account using imap and it seems to me that using imap and not pop3 should be better. What do you think about it ? HAve you solved ypur problem ? what about "timing pèroblem " ?
