Problem linking Contacts to Accounts in 6.0.0

Hi,

I am trying to import some CSV exports from Salesforce into Sugar CE.

I have installed a 6.0.0 stack and get an issue where on the contacts import, despite mapping the account ID,, no account appears for the contact.

If I add a new contact to an existing account, all works fine and the account record shows on the contact.

Looking at the tables in the database it is only this new contact I have created whihc appears in the accounts_contacts table. There are no records in this table for the contacts I have imported.

I found an old version of Sugar (5.0.0) and installed that, and when importing the contacts all works fine, so I think this is a bug in 6.0.0 (there are references to similar issues in 5.5.X+ in the forum) which requires a fix.

Anyone else getting this problem? What is the solution from here? I cannot seriously think about swapping out SF for Sugar Pro if simple import functions do not work.

I have discovered that a contacts import where the accound ID is mapped produces the following query:

Query Failed:SELECT accounts.* FROM accounts WHERE accounts.id = 'a bi-partisan organization of business leaders and academics charged to advise The President on how to maintain the United States' preeminent position in information technology."' AND accounts.deleted=0 LIMIT 0,1

Its nice when someone wastes everyones time deliberatley sbotaging code like this.

How do I fix it? Its Version 6.0.0 (Build 3905) on the CE MYSQL stack.

Can you provide the import file and screen shot of fields mapping on Import feature?

At first view it seems you are using the field separator in this phrase, before de 'a bi-partisan', probably the ';' caracter?

You can review the importing error gives you SugarCRM.
