Problem With Removing Tabs

Hi I am having a couple problems with removing tabs. I go into the admin section and I click on Rename Tabs, go to the tab that I don't want and press delete. It removes it from the list but it still draws a tab at the top of the page? Also when I press insert and insert a new tab it is no where to be scene? Any help or point in the right direction would be a great help.

Turned out I had to just comment out the modules in include/modules.php
