Problem Specifying a Start Number for Quotes

Our company has just recently started using the Quote module to generate quotes.

The default starting quote number for creating quotes is 1. I would like my quote number to start at, lets say, 2000 and increment by 1. I have followed a couple of methods to fix this problem, but they have not worked. Here is one of the links I tried: http://www.sugarcrm.com/wiki/index.p...ber_for_Quotes

I think the reason why this solution did not work is because I am using SQL Server and auto_increment is not a property in SQL Server.

Without me writing a script to create 2000 blank quotes anyone have any ideas how to solve this problem?

Found a solution:

Insert 2000 blank quotes into the database to increment the quotes to the desired starting quote number, then delete all the blank quotes.

The next quote you create will have a quote number of 2000+
