Problem w/ selection of a related field via link

Hi,

In SugarCRM 6.1.4 I have 2 customized modules:

- releases (based on"basic")
- deliveries (based on "basic")

In module deliveries i have a relate-field "rel" that points to releases.

Now in use of the system:

I create a new delivery (new record in "deliveries").
I populate the fields.
I click on "select" pertaining to "rel" to select a release.
The search pops up.
I search for a release.
I see the search result (e. g. 2 releases).

In my search result i can see the name. I've set up the layout that way.

Now comes my problem:
The search result is not a link that i can click on to select the release into my "rel" field.

But:

When i add the user assigned to the layout, i can click on the user to select the release.

Isn't that buggy?

Or what mistake am i making?
