    Default Problems Importing data

    Hi,

Operating system type and version Windows XP professional
» Sugar version and edition Version 5.2.0a (Build 5447)
» Webserver type and version (i.e. Apache 1.3.31, IIS 6)
    » PHP version (5.2.9)
    » MySQL server version (5.0.67)

I'm tearing my hair out on this one.

I'm exporting data from my Access database of prospects and trying to import them as targets in Sugar. I've tried exporting to .csv and .txt format comma and tab delimited with "" text identifiers. I always get the same error message

"enclosure must be a single character on line 175 in file /home/sites/culpitt.co.uk/public_html/Sugar/modules/Import/ImportFile.php"

    Hi Culp,

Why not try to use Apatar data migartion tool (opensource). Will need to configure just two connectors and export your data directly from your Access to SugarCRM.

The datamap will loook like MS Access connector -> Transform -> SugarCRM connector.

You wil need only map fields that you would like to import into SugarCRM within Transform operation.

    Regards,
    Sergei

I had the same problem when I tried to import data with a User account. Interestingly when i logged in as the Admin there were several duplicates. I truncated the table and imported again with the Admin User. Also be sure there are no comma's in the fields themselves, e.g. Unit X, The Complex the comma should be replaced with a space/some other character.

    Hope this helps.

    Russell
