    Default Problems with the login

    Hello,

I have problems with the login in the Sugar v.5.2 that I have installed. Sugar don't let me login with my user and password, the same happens with other users, just reload the login page.

It doesn't matter if I introduce the correct username and password or the wrong ones, the login page reload and It don't do anything.

Like I have seen there are fatal errors in the log.

    Any help?

    Thank you

Solved, it was a problem with the server (no space in a partition).

Sorry to reopen this item, but I have exactly the same issue at the moment. We used SugarCRM for some time and suddenly we can no longer login. It is 100% the same as described here. But my problem is that I have no clue if the server would be the problem and if so, how I should be able to resolve it. How can I check what is going on and can I do something through the Plesk portal of my provider or should I ask my provider to look for something (and if so, look for what)?

Coincidentally, I too am now experiencing this very issue. My Sugar CRM has been running well now for several weeks, but today, it will no longer allow me to login using the same details that I've been using all along. I've tried using a login allocated to someone else too, but get the same result. Tjhe green bar quickly fills & the screen returns to the login page every time.

My sugar version is (I seem to recall) 5.5.4 & it is the open source edition.

Has anyone got any thoughts or suggestions?

    Default Login Problem

I encounter the same Problem since last week. The system worked for month without any problems and all of a sudden no user can login and no error messages appear, just reload of the login page.

I´m using the rPath-Appliance and I still have SSH access to the system. Since I´m running the Server in an vmware environment with dataRecovery, i did many rebulids of older server-images from times where the system worked, but when I start the rebuilded machine, i can´t login anyway so I think it must be some date-depending error.

Unfortunately I don´t know the exact version I was using.

Any ideas or logfiles, I can check ?

It happens because the value for php attribute session.save_path either is not a valid folder or apache user has no permission to write into it.

Figure out this issue and try again.

I found the solution to my problem and it was really simple!

There was no space left on the disk of the virtual appliance. I expanded the disk in the VM and then did a resize on the partition using Gparted and everything works fine again.

Thanks very much. I opened the htaccess file to see where this attribute value was pointing at and indeed the directory it used to use was removed. I recreated the directory with the correct permissions and I'm in again. Thanks very much!

    Hello everybody!

    I have the same issue!
I have the message "This directory must be writable by the webserver user. ".

I understand that it means to change permissions on folders, but I have virtual server Apache. How can I make it?

I've got a similar problem. I upgraded to 6.1.1 then ran into the all new wonderfully fatalistic 6.1.1 bug, so I had to rebuild down to 6.1.0.

I installed 6.0.3, performed a 6.1.0 upgrade, imported my user's database onto the new database, then copied the backup of the PHP structure using the hosts control panel. I ran into numerous permissions issues on folders but got them all working with the exception of one thing:

If I go to http://mydomain.com I get the error: This directory must be writable by the webserver user.
If I go to http://mydomain.com/index.php it works absolutely fine.

What's the file I'm missing permissions on? How can I correct this? The client is using the CRM now but this is a small bug I need to straighten out for them. Any advice is appreciated.
    Best Regards,
    Tommy
