Problems with Sales Stage in Opportunity

Hi,

I have just installed 5.0.0f community addition on my laptop and I have been customizing it to my own requirements.

The problem is this, I removed all of the sales stages other than closed won/lost and added my own. The problem is that now I cannot update the sales stage in an opportunity. When I edit an opportunity, it shows the first stage in the list. When I set the sales stage and save, the view shows nothing and when I then edit again it's like I never made the change to the record.

Any ideas?

The Salesstage dropdown is used in many modules hardcoded.
So you should search for the useage of sales_stage and check the values whiche are used in the found modules.
