Problems with studios layout editor

Hi,

I have problems with the with a specific view in the studios layout editor. I'm using SugarCrm Version 5.2.0 (Build 5380).

I want to add a custom field to the DetailView of Contacts module. If I modify the DetailView layout of the Contacts module in studio, I can see the changes in studio. Also if I click on 'Save' or 'Save & Deploy' the changes are still there. But if I go the the detail view of any contact (outside of studio) the changes were not taken over the contact detail view.

This problem is only affecting the DetailView layout of Contacts module. When I change any other view of the Contacts module in studio (EditView, ListView) the changes are done in the contacts. There are also no problems with the views of any other module.

I already found out, that there is a file /sugarCrm/modules/Contacts/DetailView.html where the changes should automatically be made to take affect. But if I modify the DetailView in studio, no changes are made to this file. Another strange thing is, that there is no DetailView.html file in the /sugarCrm/modules/Accounts/ folder. I also added a custom field in the Accounts DetailView with success. Why is there a different mechanism for different modules?

No help ... just sympathy ... Studio has always been a lot of magic and a little graft ... you've id'd the file ... just go hand craft it ... sometimes it's the only way.

I have identified the file with the hmtl content but that's not sufficient. There are other files for building the SQL query etc. But I don't know all involved files. Which other files do I have to edit to display a custom field?

It seems that for all other views (except DetailView of Contacts) there are template files with the html content. Only the Contacts DetailView uses the html file in /modules/Contacts/. How can I change this behavior?
