    Unhappy Problems with uploading reports

I recently added zuckerReports module and installed jasperreports. Everything seems to be working fine. I can make custom reports from my remote workstation using ireport easily; however, when I try to upload these reports, nothing happens. I browse for my report .jrxml file and when I click save the file path goes blank and I remain at the edit screen.

I am using sugarcrm 4.2 OS running on apache 1.3 and php 4.4.2.
    1. Is the community edition of ZuckerReports not capable of uploading custom reports?
    2. What other modules if any do you recommend for utalizing jasperreports and sugar?

There is the "jasperreports for SugarCRM" module at SugarForge.

Strange. Do file uploads work in other contexts ?

Sorry, I kindof worded that first question funny, but you say that it is capable of uploading and running custom reports made by ireport as a jrxml file.

And yes, I am able to upload other files in different modules. The sugar folder and all of its subfolders also have the sorrect ownership. I'm not sure what the problem could be. Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance

I import to the new report template. I give it a name, browse, select a file, select the pdf box and then select save.
I noticed that when doing this the header that say "New Report Template" changes to "ZuckerReports:" after I click save. The name remains intact but the file location is empty.

you're right, the answer to your question above should have been "no, it is possible ...". whatever.

The behaviour you describe should not exist, therefore I would say it is bug. But there has to be a heavy problem before, because otherwise this would not happen. Did you install java on you server, and is it executable by your webserver user ? if unsure, just type "java -version" in a commandline.

duh, Zucker is using the windows enviornment jvm by defualt, all I had to do was go into the ZuckerReportTemplate/ReportTemplate.php file and comment out the windows enviornment path and uncomment the unix
Hope this helps anyone who encounters this problem in the future,

Thanks - this clearly is an error in the installation package - will upload a new one in a couple of minutes to sugarforge!

Usually, ZuckerReports autodetects the installed java and works out-of-the-box, but due to my dumbness I delivered a package pre-configured for windows environment ... which obviously doesn't run on linux.
