Default Problems with "user" module from "admin" Control panel

I'm having a problem with the user management module. When I click on the "user" link - nothing happens. No error code. Nothing. I'm very confused by this because I'm running 4.2.1b with no modules added. I'm an administrator on the system.

I am unable to change passwords or anything related to the user. However the employee section works fine. All other modules seem to work fine.

I just don't know where to look. I'm needing a little direction on which way to go in order to troubleshoot this system.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

Hello this is my first time on the SugarCRM forum.

I seem to be having the same problems as the rest of yourselves here.

I don't know if this helps but when I installed Asterisk (It comes prebundled with Sugar CRM 4.01) and there is no problem using the Admin panel or SugarCRM.

I then tried to upgrade using the upgrade wizard and this didn't work. On checking this forum I found out that in the /var/www/html/UPgradeWizard.php there was a '\\' that needed to be changed to a '/' on line 84.

When I corrected this and did upgrade to 4.2 I found the same issue as all of yourselves. The page cannot be displayed.

I don't know if this helps I just hope someone else reading this it may give them an idea.

Kenneth I've followed this thread and have the same problem.

I am going to upgrade the SugarCRM tonight and will let you know how I get on.

If I still have problems do I just keep using this thread or do I create my own thread.

I do want everyone to get something out of this.

    Sincerely

    Hi,
My problem is that when I login as admin my admin panel is disabled. If I lost my admin rights how to recover it ?

You will have to access the database directly and change the is_admin column in your row in the user table to 1.

I had this problem when I updated in a test with the beta. I found right after an upgrade I had to clear my browser cache and restart the browser(firefox). After closing all firefox window I restarted firefox and the admin came back. The permissions never changed just some information in the browser cache was interfearing with the new upgraded version of sugar.

Has anybody found the solution to this problem. I am experiencing the same error whether asterisk or via ISP, the only difference seems to be in that when accessing sugar CRM from asterisk since it resides on my local server it wants to execute
macromedia dreamweaver as soon as it does it I get a blank page ion dreamweaver. However, when this is done via ISP I get an internal server error (500)

    Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, and inform them of the time the error occurred and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

any help would be very much appreciated!!
