hi,

could anyone, developers or otherwise help point me in right direction?

i want to basically change vtiger and create my own modules to do the following:

Create leads, convert to case, have in each case/client/contact what i have sold them whether that is one product or ten.

then be able to create reports based on the products i have sold him/her and also see what manufacturer/providers are selling most from a report.

if anyone could point me to the right place as to where to start, creating a module or modifying existing one i would be greatly appreciative. or any dev forums?

I guess you should have a quick look at the top left corner of this page. The only advice you'll get here is to switch to Sugar.

Sugar Pro has most of the features you require but it comes with a price tag. Look at Sugarforge (especially here http://www.sugarforge.org/publisher/?group_id=598) for ideas.

For the rest - start with the documentation and look for studio and module builder. Move then over to the developer zone: http://developers.sugarcrm.com/index.php

This should keep you busy for the next two to six months...

thanks roblaus, when you say documentation what documentation will get me starteed with creating the modules i need?

can most of this be done inside sugar crm module builder?

when i try to go to the http://developers.sugarcrm.com/index.php link i get asked to login and when i do i cant get to the developer documentation or tutorials. When i login it takes me to my user profile page but can view any docs on developer zone? any suggestions?
