Default Quantity of tables (137 vs 92)

    Hi guys !

    I'm currently reinstalling a fresh SugarOS 4.5.1c.
My old Sugar currently running was installed with v.4.2.0d, upgraded to 4.2.1d, and finally to 4.5.1c.
But, since I'm updating the hardware, I'm installing a new fresh version.

In my old Sugar, I have 137 tables listed in PHPMyAdmin.

In my new (and empty for now) database, I have 92 tables.

Both version are not modified, no custom fields and no plug-ins.

Can I import my data even if the quantity of tables is not the same ?
Is there any tables I should not import (or not required) ?

    Thanks !

    Jonathan

    Hi,

If you are already running 4.5.1c then you should not encounter any issues when importing only those 92 tables Sugar is currently using. Database structure has changed since 4.2.0d but it sounds slightly odd that you have so many (45) extra tables. Are you sure you don't have any custom (*_cstm) tables in the database?

    Thanks for responding Markku,

I found the answer ! Well it's obvious, but I've realized that the original version 420d was a SugarPro version. So it's means more tables... Since we are switching to the OpenSource version for now, I will only import the same tables.

    Thanks,

    Jonathan

Good to hear that you solved the issue. However SugarPro tables have at least one extra column (teamid) when compared to Open Source tables.

    Ok thanks for the info.

If I import with a DROP TABLE. It will recreate those 92 tables with those "team_id" columns. I don't think it will bother. Sugar will not use this data. So it will only be junk data in my DB. I can live with that.

    Thanks,

    Jonathan
