Question on "help" option for a field

1) When creating a field, i attach some help text to that field in the "help" text box provided, via studio.... however when i hover upon the field in the edit view, i dont see the help text... where exactly can i see the help text??

2) I see a " ? Help" towards the top right side of the edit view of the contacts module.... Can i add custom fields and its help text to this ??

1. Yes it does show the text but in the edit view only (hover over the data entry field)
2. Yes. Just edit (carefully) the corresponding html file in module/language

How can i show help text over an image icon instead of data field. How can i put an image near all fields.
