Question re project module in community edition

Hello
I would like to do the following

- Restrict projects to individual employee or clients so that when the log in they only see reference to these projects.
- Have a dashboard widegt that showed relevant list of projects.

I am aware that teams are only on commercial editions - I think this is what I need (with no budget)

Currently I have changed the user role permissions so that users from a different group cannot edit the projects - this seems to work fine however you can still see the list of projects - ideally you should only see projects relevant to you

am happy creating a user group per per project ot per user if need be

just need to create custome widget
