Question on Relate field

The Relate field (Select) allows you to type in letters and brings back matching records. However it does not seem to factor in role restriction.
For example,
I have a user that belongs to a role that allows him to view only the Contacts assigned to him.
I have a Relate Contacts field on a Create Opportunities module. When the user clicks the Select button, the popup that displays has only his Contacts, which works as it should.

But if he were to specify a contact by typing into this field, the field brings back matching records based on the letters typed, even if these records are not assigned to the user. How can this be fixed? I am using Sugar CE 5.2.0a

Hi Project Sugar

I had filed a feature request which fix such bug: 27855
It had been assigned to one of SugarCRM developers but it is addressed to a future release.
But if you want to get it fixed (non upgrade safe until it is implemented in future release) have a look on the Bug description and feel free for using it.
