    Question Questions re: Email (viewing several users' emails, when it checks)

    Hi - I've just started using SugarCRM, and have successfully set up the Email module. Inbound and outbounds emails are working fine (which I why I haven't put this under the other email thread).

    However, I'm trying to figure out about the following:

    1. When does SugarCRM check for inbound emails? Does it only check when you manually click the "check emails" buttons? Is there a way to schedule this to happen more often? I saw that the scheduler says to check as often as possible, but I'm not sure when that is, so I can't tell if it's working correctly or not. This is especially relevant for checking the group emails or making sure that other users' emails are getting checked.

    2. Related to the above, is there a way to view other users' email inboxes? This is for the supervisors, if they need to check emails when someone is out.

    3. Is there a way to display the group email inbox on the home page? Or on the Emails tab home page?

    1. No, emails may also be checked by the sugar scheduler being setup properly to get inbound emails. The scheduler can be found in Admin -> System -> Scheduler. This is were you would set up automatically fetching of emails. You will also have to set up a cron job in unix/linux to call a php script describe on the bottom of the scheduler. I am not sure on windows how one would set up a scheduled event to run php with the same script would be similar.

    2. Yes go to Emails -> Shortcuts -> All Emails. If you have the professional or enterprise version you have team level access controlls that will restrict who can see what based on team membership and reports to.

    3. The Group inbox is visable on the Emails -> Shortcuts -> Group Inbox
