Quick Create Opportunity from Email?

Is it possible to Quick Create an Opportunity from an Email?

I don't want to use the Leads module... just jump straight from email inquiry to an opportunity.

IS the reason opportunity is not available in the "quick create" menu because I am using the community version?
Or is there another reason opportunity is not available in the "quick create" menu.
