QuickCreate Case Layout Editing

Hi Guys,

I'm quite new here, registered awhile ago, but don't think I ever posted.

Anyway, I need some help. We use Sugar Community Edition Version 5.1.0a (Build 4837), as our HelpDesk capturing system in a technical Call Centre.

Now, I have fully customised the Cases module, and we use pretty much only Custom Fields. The problem I am facing though, is with the Quick Create option, I cannot edit the view at all. When I go to the Studio, the option to edit it is there, but I cannot edit it at all. I can choose the layout, add fields remove fields, Save, Save and Deploy, but when I go to the Cases module, it is still the default layout. When I go back to the Studio, and edit that module again, it is exactly as I have left it.

What can I do about this? Any help would be muchly appreciated!

Or even better... how can I disable the QuickCreate view altogether?

Re. changes not saving - check your permissions, the custom directory must be writable by you webserver user.
Re. disabling the quick create - just remove the button, there are plenty of threads dealing with it, it's a tiny code change (I am not a programmer, otherwise I would have given you a sample).

Thank you very much for your quick response. I did a search and came across some code that will disable QuickCreate through the CRM system,

I have forwarded it to our development department, I am hoping that they will be able to do it.
