QuickCreate and Notes in History sub-panel

Hi,

Because the QuickCreate option in the left column of some of the modules isn't very useful to me, and only confuses the other users, I tried to remove it by using Studio. I opened the module, opened 'Lay-outs' and choose 'QuickCreate'. Next I dragged and dropped al the fields in the trashcan. I repeated this action for the different modules.
When I restarted Sugar all the QuickCreate's were automatically restored. So I figured, okay it's not that easy to remove the QuickCreates, so let's leave it for now.
Next thing I noticed is that in Studio in each module the edit QuickCreate and the edit Labels components are no longer functioning. Also adding a note in the subpanel 'History' is no longer possible (when clicking on 'add a new note' it doesn't open the note form)

I did run 'quick repair and rebuildl' but that didn't change anything.

Q: Is there a way to regain access to the edit components for Labels and for QuickCreate?
Q: What's with the adding notes function in the History subpanel?

Please, anybody any ideas?

Hello Karin,

the 'Quick Create' in the Studio area refers to the subpanel quick create.

IE:When you are in the detailview of an Account, and you scroll down to the Contact subpanel and click 'Create', a little area appears for the Contact where you can fill out some limited fields. This is the 'Quick Create' form for the Contact. You will notice there is a 'Full Form' button, which if you click it, will take you to the full edit view of the Contact.

The item you are referring to I believe is called the 'Quick Form' (similar name). Unfortunately, this item is not available in Studio, it would have to be removed in the code.

Hi Sugarcane,

That explains what's happened! I've mixed up the Quick Form and the Quick Create ()
In an effort to remove the Quick Form I removed the Quick Create! I did that by using Studio/module x/layouts/quickcreate and drag all the fields into the trashcan.

I'd like to restore the QuickCreate now, but when I try to do this in Studio by following the same path clicking on the QuickCreate icon doesn't open the edit function. Sugar says 'loading, one moment' but nothing happens.

Do you happen to have an idea on how I can get back into the edit function of QuickCreate so I can drag the trashed fields back out of the trashcan?
