Question re-accessing sugarcrm non-automatically for mac 5.5.0. pack

    Hello,
I installed the 5.5.0. pack installation for mac, everything has gone smoothly and sugarcrm works.

When installing, I ticked the option "not automatically start sugarcrm everytime computer starts", and now seriously regret it...

Each time I have to start sugarcrm, I go to the mac terminal and type "/Applications/sugarcrm-5.5.0/sugarctl.sh start" then type into my browser "http://127.0.0.1:8080/sugarcrm/"

However, this only works if I reset the computer, (the terminal in that case first tries with the 8080 port, then says it's not valid and redirects to another port).
Otherwise, the terminal tells me the program is running but on the browser sugarcrm never loads (it says "loading" indefinetly).

Can you please advise what I'm doing wrong? Or else how can I solve this issue? Restarting the computer each time I need sugarcrm is not very practical....

    Thanks,
    Ana

once you have started apache/mysql you should not have to restart it unless you shut down your mac

so, if you have already started apache/mysql, then just start sugar in your browser as normal.

you don't have to start apache every time you want to use sugar UNLESS you have rebooted the Mac

    Hi,
unfortunately that's not the case. Even though supposedly apache is running, when i refresh browser or re-insert the path in the browser, the status is permanently "loading" but never gets to load.

What can I do other than unisntall and reinstall?

    Thanks
    Ana

    Hi,
if i type localhost into either firefox or safari of my mac it returns the "unable to connect" message....

What do you suggest I can do to solve this recurring problem?
    Thanks,
    Ana

By the way, after waiting for quite a looong time on the browser for sugarcrm to open, the final message is the following:
"Could not connect to server localhost as root.Lost connection to MySQL server at 'waiting for initial communication packet', system error: 102"

If there's no straightforward answer, perhaps someone can tell me how to set sugarcrm for automatic starts post installation?

    Thanks,
    Ana

To clarify, when I restart the computer and go to terminal to start sugarcrm, this is the following language that shows up:
    "ana-sandra-ruiz-entrecanaless-macbook-2:~ Anasandra$ /Applications/sugarcrm-5.5.0/sugarctl.sh start
    /Applications/sugarcrm-5.5.0/sugarctl.sh : mysql started at port 3306
    chown: /Applications/sugarcrm-5.5.0/mysql/data/mysqld.log: Operation not permitted
Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /Applications/sugarcrm-5.5.0/mysql/data
    Syntax OK
    /Applications/sugarcrm-5.5.0/sugarctl.sh : httpd started at port 8080
    ana-sandra-ruiz-entrecanaless-macbook-2:~ Anasandra$
    "

It's the only time that sugarcrm works (if you restart), otherwise the phase of starting at port 3306 doesn't show up and sugarcrm doesn't load...

Any suggestions on what might be the problem or how to solve it?
    Thanks
