    Hi

Im having some difficulty getting Sugar up and running correctly.

I have gone through the forums, and there seem to be a bunch of different people saying different things, and I have tried them ,and have reinstalled Sugar about 3 times.

I have tried editing the config file shown here: http://www.sugarcrm.com/forums/showt...t=53449&page=2

I have tried setting the permissions in an FTP client, and also in Putty. I have tried 777 and 775 and 666 and 664.

    - While installing, NO errors, and the pages display correctly.

    - On first login, the CSS does not display correctly.

    - I can change the permissions as shown here : http://www.sugarcrm.com/wiki/index.p...sions_on_Linux

    - Sugar now displays correctly after changing these permissions.

    - I now get warning messages at the top of the page, but only on certain pages.

I have attached screenshots of the error I revive.

My hosting provider has said that I can only use 755 and 644. This is part of a ticket response from them "You have a lot of 777 permissions on your account which will not work on our servers as we use SU_PHP on our servers and files need to be set to 644 and 755 for the folders."

    BUMP.

Can anyone assist with the correct permissions or changes I need to make SugarCRM work with no errors or warnings?

Are you sure that safe mode is disabled?

If safe mode is enabled, then you should probably ask your hosting provider to give you specific permissions for you to enable mkdir, chmod, set_time_limit, and other functions.

I had similiar problem, but I have found out that it is safe mode problem. Maybe suPHP works in similar way.

I will inquire about "safe mode" with my hosting provider.

It would be nice to have an install guide for suPHP.
