I was wondering if there is a way to read and write to the sugar database outside the sugar framework?

We are wanting personell to be able to add new cases without seeing the sugar script.

I didnt know if it would as simple as making a php page that will read/write to the cases table.

If so, I notice the varchar(16) and char(32) is used for id's and such.

Would love a few pointers on how this can be done.
