    Default Record Inheritance

    Is there a way to setup an Account to show the records of a custom module for Contacts and/or Leads?

    Let's say I have Account X:

    Account X
    -> Contact 1
    --> CustomMod: Recorda
    --> CustomMod: Recordb
    -> Contact 2
    --> CustomMod: Recordc

    If I click on the Account, I'd like to see:

    CustomMod:
    Contact1 Recorda
    Contact1 Recordb
    Contact2 Recordc

    I'm reading the docs, but missing it.

    Let me rephrase: Is this possible without custom coding?

    Just buy using the built-in SugarCRM module builder and related tools?

    We are using SugarCRM Pro v5.2

    Again, with respect: The folk that hang out in here are focused on the Community Edition which does not include workflow (except with SugarForge modules installed). You will get a better response by posting in the paid for non-open source forums.

    There is no way to do that without coding, even using PRO or ENT flavors.
    You have to create extended vardefs, language and controller for Accounts to accomplish this feature.

    Yeah, that's what I was thinking, but I was holding out hope!

    It would be nice if you could set certain values to "bubble up" from Lead to Contact to Account. Better than duplicating the data everywhere.

    Where ARE the "non-open source forums"?

    When you click Forums on Sugarcrm.com you go here.
