Default Record Linking broken when importing accounts & Contacts

    Release Community Edition Ver 5.5.1-RC2

When importing Accounts the "Assigned To" field defaults to currently logged in user and not the value that is in the import CSV file.

When importing Contacts the "Account Name" field does not get linked to the actual Account record already in the database even though the name in the import CSV file is identical to the already stored Account name.

All the above were working correctly in version 5.5.0

5.5.1 is an RC release ... it is NOT for production use ... if you use it .... EXPECT problems.

I suggest you submit a bug.

It seems to still be broken in 5.5.1GA -- did you submit a bug?

Someone did submit bug 36326. However it has been closed with no explanation.

I just installed 5.5.2 (Build 1224) and have the same problem. Any news on this? thanks

Found a solution to this - it was happening with my Sugar on Demand install (5.52).

    My work around was:

    - Set up a dummy record for "contacts"
    - Export it
    - Insert the contact data into that record, maintaining the structure of the exported fields
    - Import
    - Ensure that "none" is chosen for "fields enclosed by"
    - Choose "create and update records"
    - Do not change any of the mapping
    - Go

This was the only way I could get the accounts and contacts linked.

I have discovered that this only happens if you leave a field without mapping.
If you map all the columns in the CSV file, Sugar imports the data correctly.

    I hope this helps...

I've tried all the suggestions. I still can't get the contacts to link to accounts.

Could it a missing code somewhere? This seems like a big bug to me.
