Recurring events in 6.0.0RC1

I've been looking around for an answer here but I haven't seen anything. I realize this has been discussed before but I didn't find a solution in any of the threads I read.

Is there are way to schedule recurring meetings or phone calls in SugarCRM 6.0.0 RC1 Community Edition? I read it was scheduled for 5.5 or 6 but I don't remember where exactly. I can't find it in my install.

If its not available, is there a reason why? A first I thought that perhaps it didn't fit into a traditional idea of CRM, but then if we are supposed to also be managing communication between departments it seems essential.

In my case its the meetings themselves that I sell, so entering them all every week is error prone and time consuming.

Others must have the same issue, did anyone come up with a solution?

It is an often requested feature, but it is not scheduled for this release either. Its been pushed several times and many of us have expressed our disappointment at that over the years.

Check out the Calendar 2.0 mod on SugarExchange.com though, as it provides recurring scheduling capabilities. Although, I am not sure if it supports 6.0

Does anyone have any insights into why this has not been delivered? ... I have a vague notion that it was on the roadmap a couple of years ago ... but have not seen any clear indication that it is scheduled for a future release.

Anyone from Sugar care to comment ... it would be appreciated

I guess I don't really like the idea of paying $120 for something that seems like it should have been there to begin with but.....

Not available for 6 yet but I'm patient.
