Relate field linking to Users

Hi ,


I need to add a 'Relate' field in 'Accounts' Module. This relate field should be mapped to users table. that is, while clicking 'Select' button i should be able to get all the users in the system. But I am not able to find an option to create 'Relate' fields linking to 'Users' table. If any one has an idea , please advice me.

Prajeesh,

Create an empty file called studio.php and put it in modules/accounts/metadata and verify that it gives you the functionality that you need.

Once you verify that it works you will need to move the file to custom/modules/accounts/metadata to make it upgrade safe.

hi josh,

i think you meant to say that studio.php is to be put in modules/users/metadata/. I have done like this . and I was able to create a relate field which will popup users . but the autfill does not do any filtering. Also it displays Name instead of user_name. Please help me.

Hi Prajeesh

There is a possible workaround:
Create a relate field with some other module.
Sugar will create two custom fields into Accounts module.
Go to table fields_meta_data through some database GUI (phpMyAdmin for MySQL) and edit the fields to get them related to Users.
