Relate Project to Case and display in subpanel

I'm lost and can't seem to find a definitive answer in past threads or the sugar docs of what I'm doing wrong.

I'm running sugar Version 5.2.0c (Build 5505)

I'm trying to modify the cases module to be able to be associated with a project so when I view the project detail page there is a cases subpanel displayed.

It appears this functionality is already in place but I would have to create a case, then go into the project detail, scroll down to the case subpanel and select the case to tie them together.

I created a relate field in the case module called project_name and it allows me to select a project while composing the case as desired. So I save the case and go over to the project detail page but the case doesnt show in the cases subpanel!

Can someone walk me through what I am missing?

Hi,

You have to make a relationship b/w project and cases. If the relationship is already exists then you can delete it. After you delete you can see that the sub panel is also deleted. After it you can make a one-to-many relationship

Actually you have to make one-to-many relationship b/e project and cases when you created this relationship successfully and correctly then you can see the subpanel in project module or relate field in cases module which is created automatically.

You create one to many relationship where one / or primary module is project and many / or secondary module is cases. May be this will work for you.
