Relationship between Quotes and Cases

Hi guys we are using Sugar 4.5.1 and would like to add a relationship between the quotes and the cases.

Any suggestions?

You cant from within the system, custom relationships were not added to SugarCRM until well after 4.5.1. You will need to upgrade to a more recent version to be able to do this.

What I want to do is, as a quote is approved a case must be created. Is this not possible?

It is possible but you would have to write the code (the PHP scripts) to do it. And they would be pretty complex scripts as 4.5.1 has no facility for custom relationships, you would have to not only write new code you would have to alter core files to allow for the new relationships.

Creating the new quote would need a 'logic hook' and I am not sure those are in 4.5.1 either.

So the answer is that yes it possible but in 4.5.1 you have to write it all yourself whereas in 6.x or above you can do much of it in Studio and a little logic hook (or workflow if you are in PRO/ENT).
