Default Relationship problem between contacts module and new custom module

I was able to create the relationship between my custom module "Vendors" and the standard module of "Contacts"

I was also able to create a relate field in Contacts that links up to my "Vendors" module which works great and it will allow me to select a vendor.

However if I select a vendor in the contact it does not place that contact into my "Contacts" subpanel in my "Vendors" module. I can however add contacts there manually and they do save. I double checked and if I select an account to tie the contact to it will show up in the appropriate sub-panel in the "Accounts" module... just not with Vendors.

Any ideas or able to point me in the right direction?

Anyone out there have any idea how to accomplish / fix this? Not sure if it is a bug or if I am doing something wrong, or if it is just not implemented.

The best I can offer is that I have had the same issue. It seems the modules do not fully share a relationship
